Legal basis
Transfers of personal data abroad are made under Article 9 of Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (6698, as amended by 7499). For purposes that require your consent, the basis is a separate explicit consent; for performing the membership contract, the basis is performance of that contract. The list of recipients below is complete, and a new recipient is added to this page before the first transfer to it.
Recipients and what they do
- Supabase — database and file hosting, in the Frankfurt data centre in Germany.
- Vercel — delivery of the website itself; IP address and technical request data pass through it.
- Google (Gemini API) — processing of CVs, audio, company dossiers and translation, in the United States. Audio transcription and image generation go through this processor only.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — the same text, analysis and translation work when this processor is enabled in system settings, in the United States.
- UltraMsg and Meta — sending WhatsApp messages, including the sign-in code.
- Brevo — sending transactional email and the newsletter.
- Trawili — the payment gateway; amount and order number, not profile content.
What safeguards exist
We have a data processing agreement with each recipient that limits use to the same purpose and forbids onward transfer without permission. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No data is sold or handed over for advertising or model training.
Whether a standard contract is required for each recipient and must be notified to the Board, or whether an adequacy decision or explicit consent is the basis, is under legal review and the answer will be published here.
If you do not consent
You may withhold consent for cross-border transfer. AI processing and WhatsApp messages are then switched off for you and the sign-in code arrives another way; your membership and lounge access stay exactly as they are.
