Marketing message consent

What needs consent

Invitations to public events, the newsletter, an introduction to a new service and an upgrade offer are marketing messages, and without your clear consent they never even enter the send queue. That is a rule in the database, not a team preference.

What does not need consent

A transactional message belongs to something you started: a sign-in code, a registration confirmation, a reminder for an event you registered for, the decision on your membership request, a payment receipt and a security alert. Switching marketing off does not stop these, because the service does not work without them.

Channels

Email and WhatsApp, each with its own consent: you can want email and not WhatsApp. SMS is used only as the fallback route for a sign-in code, never for marketing.

Sharing with a partner, and what we do not do

One separate consent is recorded here too: that your need brief may reach a service partner. Without it, no contact detail is passed on and the partner sees only the need, with no identity attached. The exact wording is on the explicit-consent page.

And what we do not do: we do not sell the member list, we do not rent it to anyone, and we do not use it to advertise someone else. No AI behavioural profile is built to target messages either.

How often

We aim for few and relevant, not many. An event invitation arrives only when it matches the city, industry or market you stated. If you receive something irrelevant, tell us — that feedback is what corrects the targeting.

Switching it off

Turn off each channel separately in your notification settings; it takes effect immediately. Every marketing email also carries an unsubscribe link. Switching marketing off has no effect on your membership, lounge access or transactional messages.

How consent is recorded

Turning each channel on and off is recorded with the time and the version of this text, so that whenever you ask we can say exactly what you accepted and when.
