What rights you have
- Learn whether your personal data is processed, and if it is, request information about it.
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data has been used in line with it.
- Know the third parties inside or outside the country to whom your data has been transferred.
- Ask for incomplete or incorrect data to be corrected, and for the recipients to be told.
- Ask for deletion or destruction under the conditions of article 7.
- Object to a result produced solely by automated analysis.
- Claim compensation if unlawful processing caused you loss.
How to make a request
Send your request in writing to SKYLAND B BLOK — Giriş katı, Huzur, Azerbaycan Cd. No:4, 34415 Sarıyer/İstanbul, or by registered electronic mail (KEP), secure electronic signature, mobile signature, or from the email address you already registered with us, to privacy@meetupbusinessclub.com.
In the request, state your name and surname, your signature, your identity or passport number, your contact address and the subject of your request. Attach any supporting document.
How long it takes
We answer within thirty days at the latest and free of charge. If answering has a separate cost, the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
Why we verify identity
Before handing over any data we make sure the request really comes from you. That protects you: if anyone could obtain your data with a simple email, privacy would mean nothing. If you can still sign in, your account is the simplest route.
Where we cannot fully comply
Data the law requires us to keep — financial records, the audit log — cannot be deleted; in that case we take it out of operational reach and keep it only for that obligation.
The introduction history and the non-circumvention record are de-identified within the contract period but not erased. That point sits on our legal review register.
And if your account is closed because of a financial record, what remains is no longer personal data: the financial and membership ledger without name or contact, and from your identity only a hash of the email, so that the same history is found if you return.
What is automated today
Full deletion of your account is done from your own account settings and takes effect at once; if you have a financial or membership record, the account is closed instead and no personal data remains in it. Getting a copy of your data has no in-app path yet — it is done by hand after a message to privacy@meetupbusinessclub.com, and it is one of the open items on our legal register.
If you are not satisfied
If your request is refused, the answer is insufficient, or no answer arrives in time, you may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board within the periods in article 14. If you are a user in Europe, you may also complain to the data protection authority of your own country.
